Ours is based on a well worn route by a cyclist called Donald Hirsch and slightly modified by our own intrepid explorer Martin Collet who has now done the London-Paris in 24 twice as well as recce trips of C4 HQ to Newhaven and Dieppe to Paris.
Rendezvous points Dieppe - Paris
RV1 Neufchatel En Bray, 40Km
Small parking

RV2 Gournay En Bray, 78Km
Cafe, Le Nemrod 13, Rue Charles De Gaulle in Gournay-En-Bray. They are happy that 30 cyclists and support will turn up on
1st June. A bit tatty, but good coffee, plenty of seating. Only one toilet…
Adjacent to an excellent Patisserie
for croissant, cakes and sandwiches.
You can see the Patisserie sign in
the distance but Streetview is weird here, cannot get a closer shot:

RV3 La Houssoye, 103Km

RV6
Parc St Cloud, 196Km
Lovely park on outskirts of Paris.
Vehicles have to pay an entrance fee of 4 Euros, bikes are free. Meet at
roundabout by fountain – this is shortly before the bikes exit the park. Lovely
views over Paris. Vehicles need to double back to exit.

Eiffel
Tower, 206Km
The last 10Km from Parc St Cloud took
us 37 minutes. Google says 19 minutes by car.
Meet on the side we approach Eiffel
Tower from, North side facing the Seine.
MARTIN NOTES:
The series of numbers after the Google
links are grid references.
The N31 was closed after Gournay, we
had to double back and detour. We were told it will be open again after this
Monday 13th May.
I tested a detour to avoid the Foret
de St Germain. It was awful, horribly busy with lots of roadworks. It’s better
to take the short off road section in the forest either slowly, or to walk the
200m or so.
